Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Andrew Leto has 10 years in the Transportation Industry starting at Logistics Freight Systems based in Phoenix, Arizona. His mission with CarrierRate.com is to provide a "one-stop shop" for supply chain management. Mr. Leto started GlobalTranz in 2003 out of his bedroom with only an unemployment check as his investment and until 2011, had not received any outside investment capital. He teaches other entrepreneurs how to start a company using the resources available and capitalizing on cash flow and profit. Prior to being in the transportation industry, Mr. Leto honorably served 5 years in the United States Navy. Andrew also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the GlobalTranz Board of Directors.
Mark Schonau
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Schonau has over 20 years of experience providing financial and operational leadership to a number of high-growth, public and private companies in the technology sector. He has been instrumental in directing organizations in rapid growth and business acquisitions. Mr. Schonau served as the point financial executive in approximately 15 transactions ($.6 billion) including M&A, public offerings, private equity, and public debt. He is also highly involved in his community, serving as Treasurer of the Arizona Technology Council for six years and is also a lifetime member of the Fiesta Bowl Committee. Mr. Schonau earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Michael Leto
Executive Vice President, Business Development
Michael Leto has spent over 12 years successfully growing freight companies in the transportation industry. He first began as an air freight Operations Manager, was shortly thereafter promoted to Director of Sales, and has virtually been involved in every facet of the transportation industry. Mr. Leto is well versed, and highly experienced, in all facets of the transportation industry including small parcel services, LTL, Truckload brokerage, industry specific technology platforms, carrier pricing, air freight, rail, and international shipping. As the developer of the GlobalTranz Agent Network, Mr. Leto has built a hybrid Agency model from scratch that has been the driving force behind the tremendous growth of the entire organization over the last three years. Mr. Leto is happily married with one daughter.
Michael Bookout
Executive Vice President, Sales and Pricing
Michael Bookout started in the industry in 2000 with Motor Cargo Industries. Mr. Bookout quickly climbed the sales ladder throughout his career with Motor Cargo winning the "Sales Person of The Year Award" for each year while employed at Motor Cargo. His distinction of being a top performer awarded him the position of Corporate Account Manager where he captured National Accounts such as Newell Rubbermaid, CSK Auto, and Office Depot. Mr. Bookout's primary focus at GlobalTranz is to build and develop strategic relationships with the top National, Regional, and Local carrier partners. Mr. Bookout is happily married with four children.
Travis Rhyan
Executive Vice President, Technology and Supply Chain Management
Travis Rhyan has twelve years in the transportation industry, beginning his career at NYK Logistics where he provided coast-to-coast support for customers, railroads, truckload, and drayage carriers. In 2002, Mr. Rhyan co-founded Redhawk Global, LLC. In 2005, he sold his share of the company and was recruited by Exel Logistics as a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst. In 2007, Mr. Rhyan was promoted to General Manager and developed a continuous improvement process through the use of Metrics Management and Quality Control Standards. Just eighteen months later, Mr. Rhyan was promoted to Business Development where he created and implemented various solutions for regional and national customers.
Mark Erickson
Vice President, Inside-Sales
Mark Erickson has over 25 years of experience in the Transportation Industry and started as a truck driver with 11 years behind the wheel. Mr. Erickson's years of experience include just about every aspect of the transportation industry to include dispatching, warehousing, importing, and exporting. Mr. Erickson's extensive experience in our industry has proven to be a great asset to both GlobalTranz and our shipping customer. Mr. Erickson currently runs all aspects of our Prescott, Arizona call center and is married with a 16 year old son.
